Beginner Level 1
Level 2 and Level 3
must have your own mask

club will provide all other equipment pending availability. We recommend under arm protector, jacket and chest protector ( chest protector mandatory for girls)
bag (recommended if you have your own weapon)
weapon and body wire (recommended for individuals that have completed one full season at this level)
Competitive Fencing
In addition to the min. required above, additional gear required:
Competitive Provincial
- 2 weapns foils/epees/sabres (* 2 foils/epees/sabres are required for your primary event only)
- 2 body cords
- lame (foil and sabre)
- breeches (required for open bouting and training)
- mask clip (sabre only)
- AFA "P" level competitive license ("N" level required for Open level competitions)
- tool kit
Competitive Regional/National
- FIE certified mask (800/1600 Newtons)
- CSC competitions: athletes must wear appropriate fencing clothing, which includes a mandatory under-plastron (under arm protector) The club recommends FIE under plastron. FIE jacket and breeches are required for Canadian and International levels 800N.
- all sabre fencers must wear a mandatory manchette (electic gauntlet on the glove)

- 6mm allen key (1/4 inch for Leon Paul nut)
